What will a new roof cost?

Answer five quick questions for a Lehigh Valley ballpark — built on the same math a real estimator uses. No email required.

Estimates use current (2025–2026) Pennsylvania asphalt & metal roofing rates and a standard estimator takeoff: footprint × pitch factor × waste, priced per square foot by material, plus tear-off. Your real price comes from a free inspection.

How the estimate is calculated.

Every step below is exactly what the calculator does with your answers — the same takeoff sequence a professional estimator runs.

1 · Roof area

Your ground-floor footprint is the roof footprint. We multiply by a pitch factor — a steeper roof has more surface than the floor beneath it.

2 · Waste

We add 15% for cuts, overlaps, ridge caps, and valleys, then convert to “squares” (100 sq ft each) the way roofers price.

3 · Material + labor

The area is priced per square foot by your chosen material, using current Lehigh Valley installed rates. Labor is 40–60% of that.

4 · Tear-off & access

We add removal of your existing layers and a small uplift for stories and roof complexity — the things that slow a crew down.

Because no two roofs are alike, and anyone quoting an exact figure sight-unseen is guessing. The range reflects the real spread between a clean, simple job and one that turns up decking repairs or tricky access. Your inspection narrows it to a single number.

It’s a well-grounded ballpark, not a quote. It uses real Pennsylvania rates and the same math an estimator uses, but it can’t see hidden rot, how many layers are really up there, or how hard your roof is to reach. Those only show up in person — and the inspection is free.

If the damage came from a covered event like wind or hail, often yes — and we work directly with your adjuster to document it. Age-and-wear replacement usually isn’t covered. We’ll tell you honestly which situation you’re in.

Yes. A new roof is a big number, and we have financing options that turn it into a manageable monthly payment. Ask about it when we come out.
